Abstract
Basic definitions of the concept of consistent histories are presented and some of the proposed novelties, like the consistency conditions and event sets, are analysed. The motifs for their introduction are studied and new interpretations are proposed. The connection between the elements of the consistent history approach and the probability sum rule for intermediate events of a diffusion process is established.
