Abstract

Decoder Restored Sync (DRS) provides feedback allowing decoder control of receiver AGC. The need for, and format of DRS are explained. The closed-loop performance of a television receiver/baseband cable descrambler system is examined under worst case conditions for single and differential decoder references.
