Abstract The field of decision‐making focuses on normative questions – how should we make decisions if we want to do it right? – and description questions – how do we actually make decisions when dealing with uncertainties? Numerous demonstrations of how people violate the axioms of normative theory have given rise to a deeper understanding of the processes underlying actual decision‐making.
