Abstract

Optimization of eco-type revetment schemes in the plain river is a complex decision-making problem since it is affected and controlled by various uncertainty factors concluding economy, safety and cultural landscape. The core issues during decision-making of eco-type revetment schemes are to depict uncertainty indicators and identify the weight of evaluation indicators. Herein, a decision-making model based on the set pair analysis and rational combination weight was introduced to select the optimal scheme. In this model, the set pair consisting of the evaluation scheme and ideal scheme was first set up to depict identity-discrepancy-contrary relationships. According to the consistency principle, the combination weight was determined to highlight the importance of different evaluation indexes and inherent information. The optimal scheme was selected by the integrated connection degree. Finally, a case study was conducted to confirm the feasibility and validity of this model. Moreover, sensitivity analysis was also carried out to conduct the reliability analysis. The results suggest that the model can be viewed as concise and quantitative expressions of certainty and uncertainty relationship between the evaluation indicator and optimal indicator from a unified view, and overcome the drawback of quantitative specification of preference coefficients in the conventional combination weighting method.
