Abstract

The nano world is governed by the nanoparticles which are the materials of nano scale. Extensive research works on nanoparticles is an indicator of its vitality and prevalence in various entities. The exploration of the synthesis of nanoparticles is broadly discussed under the approaches of Bottom-up and top-down comprising of many methods. The decision making model on the feasible method of synthesis under two approaches based on the criteria of cost and efficiency is developed in this article. A total of ten methods with five under each approach is considered in this research work and the method of pythagorean new DEMATEL is applied to construct a compatible model to make optimal decisions on the preferential methods. The results obtained are based on three expert’s opinion and the analysis of the final ranking of the methods has consensus with the literature. The proposed model can also be applied to compare the methods based on other criteria and it can also be extended and validated in various perspectives of the synthesis of nano particles. This model will undoubtedly assist the decision-makers in devising ideal solutions.
