Abstract
Decision fusion rules for wireless sensor networks in fading channel are investigated in this paper. Optimal Likelihood ratio rule has been presented under the assumption of Single-sideband Gaussian channel model. However, acquiring channel information may be too costly for resource constrained sensor networks. Subopimal likelihood ratio fusion rule is proposed which requires only the knowledge of channel statistics. Theoretical analysis and simulations show that subopimal fusion rule needs much less computation and information, yet exhibits only slight performance degradation. Subopimal fusion rules are practicable for decision fusion system in resource constrained wireless sensor networks.
