Abstract

In multipath fading environments, the Filter Bank Multi Carrier with Offset Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (FBMC/OQAM) suffers from ISI (Inter Symbol Interference) and ICI (Inter Carrier Interferences) and peak power problems. The DFE (Decision Feedback Equalizers) are designed for minimum mean square error and to reduce the peak power problems. Multi-band DFE is deliberated for improved detection performance. An Alamouti-coded Discrete Fourier Transform (AC-DFT) spreading technique is proposed to improve the Bit Error Rate (BER) and for low Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR). Also two novel techniques like DFT spread Identically Time Shifted Modulation (ITSM) optimization algorithm with alamouti coding and Decision Feedback Equalizers with alamouti coding methods are proposed and results are compared with conventional systems. The simulation results expose that the proposed scheme offers low PAPR, better BER (Bit Error Rate) and good power spectral density than the existing PAPR reduction schemes.
