Abstract
Coordinated economic dispatch of transmission and distribution networks is essential with large-scale distributed energy resources integrated. This paper presents a decentralized economic dispatch method for transmission and distribution networks based on modified generalized Benders decomposition (GBD). Compared with conventional GBD method, a quadratic optimal cut is generated during each iteration of the proposed method in addition to the conventional linear optimal cut. Furthermore, the feasible cut set is pre-defined based on the characteristic of the distribution network to significantly reduce the iteration number. Numerical tests on systems of different scales proves the validity of the proposed method and demonstrates that the proposed modified GBD method performs much better than the conventional GBD method in calculation performance.
