Abstract
The pion-emission decays of baryon resonances of L=0, 1, 2 are investigated phenomenologically on the basis of a new composite model of hadrons. It is conjectured that the transition between quarks of the same natural parity dominates the various decay modes of hadrons. The predictions of decay widths are in agreement with the experimental data and the phases of resonant amplitudes choose the anti-SU(6)W like sign which is consistent with the sign determined by the photo-couplings except for the resonant sign of F15(1688) in πN →πΔ. The angular momentum sum rule is satisfied without exception.
