Abstract

In the minimal supersymmetric model for the electroweak and strong interactions, coupled to N = 1 supergravity, we assume that the gaugino mass m 1 2 and the supersymmetric Higgs mass m are small compared to M W. It then follows that there exist two light neutralinos, and we suppose that their mass is less than about 40 GeV. We then diagonalize analytically the mass matrix of the neutralinos order by order in m 1 2 /M W and m/ M W. The decay of the next lightest neutralino is calculated by taking into account the mixing. We find that the one-loop radiative decay is comparable to, or may even dominate the decay into a fermion-antifermion pair at the tree level.
