βdecay in the mass 60 region in the framework of the interacting boson approximation

Abstract

{beta} decay rates for the Gamow-Teller transition between odd-proton and odd-neutron nuclei and between odd-odd and even-even nuclei in the mass-60 region have been calculated in the interacting boson model. Comparison shows a qualitative agreement between the calculated and experimental logft values. {copyright} {ital 1997} {ital The American Physical Society}
