Abstract

1. New acyl derivatives have been obtained by reacting cyclopentadienyltricarbonylmolybdenum and cyclopentadienyltricarbonyltungsten anions with cinnamoyl chloride and phenylpropioloyl chloride. In the case of the phenylpropioloyl derivatives, decarbonylation yields the corresponding σ-phenylethynyl compounds. 2. The reaction of potassium cyclopentadienyltricarbonylmolybdate with cinnamoyl chloride takes place with the migration of the cinnamoyl group to the cyclopentadienyl ring.
