Abstract

An unconscious school-aged child was rushed across state lines to an emergency room after having a seizure-like episode. The child had a huge brain injury. Attempted surgery was unsuccessful, and the child died. A physician who had not seen the child signed the death certificate, ascribing death to a bleeding disorder based on some silly leaps of assumption, related Robert Block, M.D., FAAP.
