Abstract
“Death Comes” is a collection of related memories about death. There are few things as universal and at the same time as unique as the concept of death. So although this is a personal look at death, it speaks to the universal need we have to cling to our dead. It discusses the general fear of death and of letting go of someone we love. It talks about how we celebrate the life of those we have loved through ritual and passed on memories so that those who went before are not forgotten. And it speaks to our universal need to keep something of ourselves alive when we are gone.
