It is the story about an Aboriginal girl named Violet Pesheens and her experience going to a residential school. Violet writes about events that happened to her while she went to a residential school, such as the cutting of her hair, changing her clothes and being given a number (75) which was how she was identified. I would recommend to all ages if you like non fiction books and because it's a very interesting. I would rate this book five stars.
