Abstract
This is not so much an opinion as an observation, more objective than a subjective opinion, and so it should be easier to give an overall descriptive title to the comments made. But let's put that off until the various events have been surveyed. These are events which have occurred during a period of absence from the office with a trip to Dubai and Seychelles. Events therefore which have taken place whilst one's back has been turned and which only remind one that the quiet world of trusts is not as tranquil as others suggest. But the events have not been matters at the fore front of trust development. For example the use of trusts in securitization finance is one of the leading topics of the moment about which much remains to be explored, despite the high activity on this front, but this has produced little comment amongst the academics...
