Abstract
USE OF GREEK AMPHORAE BY HISTORIANS. I. B. Brasinskij's posthumous book on « Methods of antique trade analysis » (published in 1984) deals particularly with Greek amphorae and amphorae seals discovered on the banks of the Black Sea, as well as precautions which have to be taken when using it to determine the relative importance of any particular centre of production at any particular period in any particular consumer locality. (The sealing coefficient and the capacity of different types of amphorae must not be omitted).
