Abstract

The first 25 years of records management – an archive guide on AIDS/HIV in the National Archives’ collections 1981 – 2006. In the Danish National Archives, different kinds of records give insight to the history of AIDS/HIV. Our aim with this article is to present some of the most relevant records about the disease from the public administration and private organizations. The article will reflect the tran- sition in the public administration from storing the information on paper to using digital media for archiving. We will pay attention to how the records about the disease were created as well as how to find them in the archive.
