Abstract
The ProAQUA-project was aimed to develop and test a practical approach for water resources management. It combined mathematical modelling of selected water bodies with analysis of the characteristics of their catchment areas. As an outcome from the modelling practical recommendations about applicable and effective de-eutrophication technologies were received. The obtained modelling results allow improved understanding of the importance of different factors in the eutrophication processes of the modelled water bodies.
