Abstract

Currently, mine protectors have different communication protocols, which make them difficult to communicate with each other due to their heterogeneity. In order to solve the problem, this study proposes a structure based on data distribution service (DDS) between substation and different mine protectors, which unifies the different protocols for devices to DDS protocol. A DDS platform is built to transmit electrical parameters between devices using different protocols with appropriate quality of service strategies. The communication between IEC 60870-103 protocol and Modbus protocol is carried out on laptop and Raspberry Pi. The proposed DDS platform implements its normal communication between different protocols and the latency can meet the requirement of mine protectors. The experimental results verify that DDS can reduce the heterogeneity of mining power system.
