Abstract

During the COVID-19 outbreak, a number of patients with mental disorders were infected with 2019-nCoV, therefore, need to be treated with antivirals and antipsychiatric drugs at the same time. The long-term use of large doses of antivirals may lead to mental symptoms in patients infected with COVID-19, which require adjunctive antipsychiatric treatment to control mental symptoms. There is an interaction between antivirals and commonly used antipsychiatric drugs. In the current review, both Chinese and International databases were searched, the interaction between antivirals and antipsychiatric drugs were symmetrically introduced, as recommended for the treatment of COVID-19.
