Abstract
Apoptotic-cell uptake (efferocytosis) by dendritic cells (DCs) has been mainly linked to their antigen presentation property. In a recent issue of Nature, Maschalidi etal. identified a break to efferocytosis in DCs, the inhibition of which improves skin debris cleansing after a wound, accelerating healing.
