Abstract

This article analyzes the doctrinal actions of the Pentecostal church Assembly of God – Mission of Belem Ministry – in the 1990s, when the growth project of the Assemblies of God know as Decade of Harvest was developed. To this end, we sought to place this institution in the Brazilian religious fi eld and understand how it developed its tactics in response to the social pressures experienced in the 1990s. Finally, we analyzed the representations of the Assemblies’ leaderships regarding the “uses and habits” of Traducao Patricia Chittoni Ramos. Porto Alegre: UFRGS, 2002.
