Abstract

The dc Josephson current is investigated in the superconductor–quantum-dot–superconductor system applied with Zeeman magnetic field to the quantum dot. The quantum dot possesses multiple discrete levels, and Zeeman magnetic field splits the levels further. The multi-terminal Josephson current formula is derived, and the symmetric situation is studied for the two-terminal system to reveal the current properties. In the presence of Zeeman magnetic field, the current exhibits different behaviors versus gate voltage and Zeeman energy. The current is related to different phases as the Zeeman magnetic energy changes to a certain value. For the multi-channel system, the current structure is quite different from that of the single-channel system.
