Abstract

The dielectric properties between antiferroelectric (AFE) and ferroelectric (FE) states are obviously different. In our paper, The (Pb0.865La0.03Ba0.09)(Zr0.74Sn0.20Ti0.06)O3 and (Pb0.805La0.03Ba0.15)(Zr0.74Sn0.20Ti0.06)O3 ceramic compositions showing antiferroelectric (AFE) and ferroelectric (FE) states, respectively, were investigated concerning the non-linear electric field dependence of the dielectric permittivity (ε–E). The results have revealed quite different behaviors. The ε–E curves have exhibited a “butterfly” shape for the AFE state and the Curie temperature shifts to the lower temperature region with the increasing of the DC field, a quiet different behavior than that of the FE state. There are most effects on energy storage characteristic and electrocaloric in the future.
