Abstract

The flexibility of integrated energy system (IES) is restricted by the thermoelectric ratio constraints of cogeneration unit, especially for accommodating anti-peak-regulation of wind power. In this paper, a day-ahead IES optimal dispatch considering power to gas (P2G) and transmission delay is formulated to support for wind power accommodation. Firstly, power to gas (P2G) is introduced to uncouple the restriction between power and gas systems. And dynamic characteristic of natural-gas pipeline is considered as an energy storage capability. Then, in order to improve the wind power accommodation, an optimal model for IES operation is established to coordinate electric power, nature-gas and energy storage units. Finally, scenario method is used to express the typical wind power scenarios, and a simulation system combining 39-bus power system and 20-node Belgian gas systems is built. By analyzing the results, the potential benefits of the proposed method in terms of operation flexibility and wind power accommodation are demonstrated.
