Abstract
Ten consecutive 24-hour specimens of urine from a healthy postmenopausal woman were collected, and assays of urinary gonadotropin were conducted with a suitable standard. A twofold day-to-day fluctuation in the excretion of gonadotropin was found, showing that excretion of gonadotropin in the postmenopausal state is not constant.
