Abstract

The set of readings on the State in the International System conveyed the history of the state, the components that are integral to its creation and existence, and its further development from time of inception through the midst of globalization and other interactions. The theme of the readings concern mainly the state as part and parcel of the establishment and how it affects the lives of the citizenry within a territory, how the very citizens view the state as legitimate or otherwise, and how important historical moments shape the core of the state.
