Abstract
This paper deals with rational cubic Ball function with four shape parameters. Two shape parameters are derived for developing data dependent sufficient conditions to preserve the shape of positive data. The remaining two free shape parameters for refining the shape of positive curves by the user. The rational cubic Ball scheme is tested through two different situations of numerical examples. The results showed that the scheme is local and C2. The user can restrict the effect of smoothing by changing the values of free shape parameters to generate and preserve the curve of positive data.
