AbstractPerformance measurement is the key to controlling and optimizing organizational activities. Pharmaceutical companies need to retrieve, process, compare and update information. Dashboards are a new tool to track key performance indicators by displaying information to managers to improve campaign performance. This work presents a case study in a pharmaceutical industry that produces drugs in solid and liquid forms. It identifies key indicators and sets up and to develop and validate a new production dashboard. This last is used for the management and the monitoring of pharmaceutical activities which utilize and visualize existing data in order to allow the decision-makers to target their goals.First, the data are collected from the production process then, the entity-relationship diagram is developed. Second, the database has been imported into Microsoft Power Business Intelligent (Microsoft Power BI). The selected key performance indicators (KPIs) will be used to create an interactive dashboard to be analyzed and visualized and to help the decision-makers to move from the traditional style of production data storage to big data analytics. Finally, based on all the results, the production manager can make investment proposals and will prepare a management review which will be presented to the owner in the form of an annual result.KeywordsKey performance indicatorsDashboardIndustry 4.0Pharmaceutical industryData analysisPower BI
