Abstract

The data structure course is very important for information communication technology learning. However, some students can learn data structures well, but most students feel difficult to understand the contents of the data structure course. Therefore, a data structure exercise system applying self-regulated learning mechanism was used for students to learn by their own goals and strategies, and this study employed the classification technique to mine the relation between the prior knowledge and the effectiveness of the self-regulated learning in the data structure course. The mining results found that (1) the higher prior knowledge learners have the higher system using attitude. (2) In the first post-test, the higher prior knowledge learners have the great learning effectiveness. But there are no significant differences in the second post-test. (3) In the second post-test, the higher learning effectiveness has the better system using attitude.
