Data Mining Based Reactive Power and Voltage Operation Assessment in Power Grid

Abstract

The existing voltage and reactive power management regulations which mainly assess the voltage and power factor of power grid cannot reasonably evaluate the voltage and reactive power operation state of power grid. Therefore, the evaluation index of reactive power voltage of the power grid is proposed from the aspects of voltage weak node and voltage control capability, assessing the reactive voltage operating status of the power grid on a long-time scale, and combining the evaluation results of the proposed index system to provide effective decision support. The application of the proposed indexes and decision supports in China's regional power grids, and verified the correctness and rationality of the proposed indexes. The proposed indexes could be available for refined management of voltage and reactive power operation.
