Abstract

Data interpolation using early-time response in time domain and low-frequency response in frequency domain is a very interesting problem for RCS rapid estimation. As the early-time and low-frequency data are complementary and contain all the desired information, a new solution to interpolate the intermediate time information with the available early-time and low-frequency data is proposed in this paper. The late-time information converting from low-frequency data is obtained by the inverse- discrete-Fourier-transform (IDFT). Then the details of data interpolation based on the coupled matrix pencil method(COMPM), is discussed. The simulation results show that the new method proposed here is efficiency. It is also important to note that the key of the method is not to create new information, but to extract the information in an efficient and accurate manner.
