Abstract

The inaccuracy of monitoring the cell number in medical imaging is due to the cell image observation and the data transmission. When the data observation result is accurate then the next required step is to send it to the analyst or doctor. Therefore a reliable mechanism to send the data is required. An architecture and method in real time data transmission system of medical image is presented in this study. A system that consists of software and hardware has been developed. The software is a computer program that is used to send and receive data. The hardware is electronic system controlled by microcontroller. The real time wireless data transmission is implemented using ZigBee communication protocol. The system is wireless sensor network to transmit the numbers of image processing result data of metastatic cells. This paper will focus on the delivery of wireless sensor network from node to node via the Router Coordinator. The process of sending and receiving data is controlled by Arduino microcontroller. The results are displayed on the LCD and serial monitor. Cells transmitted data is a simulation of the sequential numbers 0--19. The transmission is using channel 10 and a frequency of 2.4GHz. The process of delivery for 200 times transmission shows that the results obtained are valid. The results of simulation shows that the proposed method offers a data transmission method with lower bit error rate than previous study.
