Abstract

This is data and code necessary for replicating the results found in Thirty-five years later: Long-term effects of the Matlab maternal and child health/family planning program on older women’s well-being. The dataset includes de-identified person IDs for the sample of 1,820 women used in the analyses, characteristics of their households at baseline in 1974, and outcome measures collected in the 1996 Matlab Health and Socioeconomic Survey (MHSS1) and follow-up survey Matlab Health and Socioeconomic Survey 2 (MHSS2), conducted in 2012-2015. ,Attrition weights were constructed and included to account for non-response between 1974-1996 and 1996-MHSS2, separately for the collection timing of survey modules. ,Response Rates: 55.5% of women were available for survey at MHSS1, and 86.5% of MHSS1 respondents were surveyed in MHSS2. ,7% sample of Matlab households ,
