Abstract
Artikel ini ingin tahu dasar hukum untuk menentukan penyebab penghalang dan zakat untuk asnap gharimin digunakan oleh Majlis Agama Islam (MAI) Johor. Dengan melihat data yang tersedia, dapat dipahami bahwa di mana penentuan dasar hukum untuk mendistribusikan sedekah atau menghalangi penerimaan adalah al-Qur'an, Hadits dan peraturan. Adapun penyebab hambatan menerima uang untuk kelompok zakat ketika dinilai gharimin tidak persyaratan pelengkap untuk asnap gharim, juga berdasarkan masukan dari Majelis Ulama Johor dan Eksekutif Agama Johor Corporation.
