Abstract

The article presents two fragments of a shroud with Book of the Dead texts from Heidelberg and Wurzburg which match directly to each other. The shroud shows many rare features in its layout and type face. According to these peculiarities it can be dated to the middle of the 18th dynasty. A list of all known shrouds with Book of the Dead texts rendering their key data is added as an appendix.
