Abstract

Abstract The Cs salt CsLoMe ≡ Cs[(C5H5)Co{PO(OCH3)2}3] was obtained from the chloride of the diprotonated ligand LoMe and CsOH · H2O. Crystals were grown from a mixture of 1,2-dichloroethane/diethylether. They belong to the monoclinic space group P2l/c with lattice parameters a = 12.390(4) Å, b = 12.223(8) Å, c = 13.248(8) Å, β = 100.58(4)°. The structure was solved by Patterson and Difference Fourier methods. Refinement converged at R = 0.063, Rw = 0.071 for 2110 reflections and 227 parameters. The Cs ions show eightfold coordination and form a two-dimensional layer structure parallel to the crystallographic (100) plane.
