Abstract

It is desired that the output of any control system should be oscillation-free with a small rise time. Oscillations appear at the output due to inherent inertia of the system (embedded in transfer function). Different techniques were developed to remove the oscillation for different type of inputs separately. But these techniques were not aimed at to minimize the rise time.A new technique aimed at combinable to minimize rise time as well as to minimize oscillation at the output is presented theoretically in this paper. This technique entitled ‘DPT’ has some distinct advantages over the previous techniques. The development of DPT derives a new technique to be called ‘IDPT’ which has a few advantages over ‘DPT’. But realisation of IDPT bears some sort of problem.
