Abstract

This article discusses some results concerning dark matter in galaxies, recently obtained within the context of a model suggested by de Sitter relativity [1,2]. The dark matter cosmological background is not discussed here, because it has already been dealt with elsewhere [3]. Evidences are provided in support of the idea that dark matter halos are fossils of an “archaic era” which preceded the big bang, during which the locality constraints that made their appearance with the big bang did not exist. The general ideas are presented in section 1. In section 2 the archaic precursors of halos are discussed. The above mentioned evidences are presented and discussed in section 3. Section 4 is devoted to the comparison with other current models taking as reference a specific case, that of the Orion dwarf galaxy.
