Abstract

The dark adaptation curves to colored test targets of 26 amblyopic subjects were studied. Their normal eyes were used as controls. No defects were found in the group having foveal fixation, but significant defects were uncovered in the group having eccentric fixation. These differences will be discussed and an hypothesis advanced to account for the defects in the eccentric fixers.
