Abstract

To the Editor: Histologically, Sweet's syndrome exhibits features of a neutrophilic dermatosis with papillary dermal edema and a dense infiltrate of neutrophils in the papillary and mid dermis.1 Several conditions have been associated with the development of Sweet's syndrome: infections, hematologic and visceral malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease, pregnancy, and certain medications.2
