Abstract

This study analyses how theme dance has been approached in the magazine Revista Brasileira de Ciencias do Esporte. (RBCE), since its creation in 1979 until 2014. It is an indirect search of bibliographic aspect and quantitative and qualitative approach. Were found in (RBCE) fifty-three publications about the theme. It was identified that the dance appears on a discreet form in the general context of RBCE, having as predominant point its relationship with the education. About this relationship, the conflicts presented by the authors are not far from those experienced nowadays, making it difficult to insert effectively in school.
