Abstract

The paper considers tasks related to the search for the parameters of smart-systems with piezoelectric elements, to the electroded surfaces to which elements of electrical circuits are connected. The required parameters should provide the maximum damping properties of the simulated systems at free and steady-state forced vibrations. The paper presents the results of calculations of smart-system parameters providing maximum damping properties at free and forced vibrations, which were performed in the framework of continuum and discrete mechanics models. The results demonstrate variants for which the parameters found based on continuum mechanics models provide higher vibration damping rates.
