Abstract Within the blowdown area breakage amounted to 7 percent of the total cubic volume of all species. Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) breakage was 4.6, western redcedar (Thuja plicata) was 6.6, true fir (Abies spp.) was 6.9, and western hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla) was 9.2. Woody material available for energy generation was about 5,800 cubic feet per acre. Fuel loading (material 0.25 to 3 inches in diameter) was 2.9 tons per acre.
