Abstract

The barrel is one of the important parts of artillery. At the same time, when firing, the bore needs to withstand the high temperature and high pressure powder gas as well as the impact and friction of the projectile, and different damage forms such as cracks, wear and dechromium on the bore will appear. However, the wear of the bore is one of the main reasons for the error of the firing accuracy, and it can even cause other security risks. In this paper, the common damage formation and the force on the tube bore body during the firing were analyzed, so as to further estimate the life of the body tube and provide a basis for the structural health monitoring of the body tube and other key components.
