Abstract
Drawing his inspiration from the well-know Calvino's work about the fantastic transfiguration of urban landscapes, the author examines the eidetic and poetic dimensions making the aesthetic sensibility: he traces the itinerary of the re-discovery of the creative functions of imagination which are nowadays risking to be overcome by the media and consumerist levelling. in this place found back into one's experience the free inventiveness of play and metaphor can efficiently cooperate to the purpose of recovering the daily life and its meaning, exactly through the ability of a gaze wich is able to cross and transcend the reality as a given.
