Abstract
SUMMARYDactylella oviparasitica is described as a new species. The species is distinctive in that fusiform, multiseptate conidia are borne on single sporogenous cells which function as short conidiophores. Relatively complex media are required for growth and sporulation of D. oviparasitica, and the fungus also requires light for sporulation. Dactylella oviparasitica was isolated from root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne sp.) egg masses and is capable of actively parasitizing eggs of the nematode.
