Abstract

In recent years, the ethnography was stated as an important tool for educational analysis and the figure of flâneur, presented by the poet Charles Baudelaire, stood out as a metaphor for the ethnographer. So, in this essay, we propose loitering as representation for the ethnographic posture in academic research in education, specially, for the Cultural Curriculum of Physical Education, by taking it as part of pedagogical practice. We advocate that the figures of loafer are in agreement with the social, political and cultural challenges facing the (physical) education of these times.
