Abstract
Inhalation parameters, such as peak inspiratory flow (PIF) and inhalation volume, are correlated to inhaler technique for dry powder inhalers (DPIs) and could be markers of worsening disease. Digihaler, a multi-dose DPI with an integrated electronic module, delivers 90mcg albuterol/dose, records date/time stamps and inhalation profile parameters when used. This paper summarizes albuterol use patterns and inhalation parameters during ±14-day window around clinical asthma exacerbations (CAEs).
